What holds us back from what we want?

What holds us back from what we want?

Last week I found myself staring at a typed out reply to an email from the amazing woman who will be designing our reimagined collection for the Fall.

It had been a few days since she sent it & while I was with my Mastermind group in Raleigh & was using this as an excuse not to reply, I knew that wasn’t the real reason for not sending a response.

I'm SO incredibly excited about the work that she's going to be doing to take Purse & Clutch and our custom branding offerings to the next level. But I found myself not ready to reply with the official "go."

I realized I was scared.

Scared of failing.

Scared of succeeding.

One of the exercises our coach had us work through was assessing different categories of capacity. I was surprised to realize that I felt that I was quite low on Self-Trust. It was so interesting to watch myself wrestle with this in real time with responding to this email.

So I checked in with myself & what feels in alignment with my values & dreams and the kind of impact I want to have with Purse & Clutch. Then I tripled checked the financial numbers of what it would take to get us there.

Then I pressed send on the email while a group of amazing ladies cheered me on (and took photos, lol!)

Self trust for women entrepreneurs

Sometimes the biggest hurdle isn’t about making the right decision—it’s about trusting myself enough to make it.

It’s easy to look outward for validation, but deep down, we usually already know the answer.

Learning to trust yourself is a practice, one that requires vulnerability & courage.

But every time we listen to that inner voice & take action, we strengthen that trust - just a little & it gets easier the next time.

So, this is your reminder to pause, check in with yourself, and believe in the vision only you can see. The world will be better for it!
