This is not fast fashion.

This is not fast fashion.

Right now, our new handbag designer Lori Fox is on the ground in Ethiopia, working side by side with our artisan partners to bring our Fall collection to life. She’s in the workshop, running her hands over freshly cut leather, tweaking strap lengths, adjusting pocket placements & ensuring every detail is just right.

This isn’t fast fashion.

It’s a slow, intentional process—one that honors the craftsmanship & artistry behind every bag.

From the first sketch to the final stitch, we’re collaborating directly with artisans to create designs that are as functional as they are beautiful

I’ve actually known of Lori for over ten years. Mutual friends introduced us as Lori has extensive experience not only designing handbags & jewelry but also in helping ethical brands grow & scale.

I first reached out to Lori a few months ago assuming that working with her was a long shot, but she told me that she was just feeling the tug to get back into designing & would love to return to Ethiopia (this is her 12th time) - she’s even worked with the artisans we partner with for other projects since 2008.

From our first call, I knew it was a perfect fit!

She took the feedback y’all sent in from the design surveys in conjunction with my dreams for the new collection & sketched out the designs for the most thoughtful, beautiful bags I could imagine.

Lori even casually designed a new logo that I absolutely love & that we’ll launch this Fall with the new collection! What a joy it is to collaborate with someone who goes above & beyond, continually impressing me with how generous she is with her creativity.

Her design brand, The Capstone Method, offers informed & intuitive-based consulting and creative services including brand storytelling, creative direction, message refinement, product design & campaign messaging.

Basically, Lori is the whole package.

You’ll see her dedication to ethics & sustainability throughout the collection, specifically in her zero waste approach to design - you’re going to LOVE the bags (and other things!) she’s dreaming up to use the leather scraps!

Lori continues to expand what’s possible for us with her time & connections in Addis Ababa. What an absolute dream.

I can’t wait to share what’s coming and, of course, want you to be part of the journey.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the process—showing you the hands that make these bags, the choices that go into each design, and perhaps even a sneak peek of what’s launching this Fall.

If you want to be the first to see what’s coming, keep an eye on your inbox - & our Instagram!

Thanks for being part of this leap with me.

I truly am so grateful to have such an incredibly supportive community cheering me on!
