Patience give space

Patience give space

Every morning, getting my 4 year old Paige into the car is an exercise in patience.

She insists on doing everything herself—closing the front door, climbing in the car at her own pace, & carefully buckling the top clasp of her car seat - no matter how late we may be!

Learning patience in the everyday

My job is to hover close by, ready to jump in if she suddenly decides the road looks more interesting than the car. Elopement is one of Paige’s favorite games. (For a little more insight on this + into the life of many special needs parents, here’s a good article.)

It’s a slow process, and more often that I’d like, I catch myself wanting to hurry her along.

But then I pause. I remind myself that these moments—her growing independence, her determination, her pride in doing it “all by myself”—are worth the time (and mental anguish) they take.

It’s not lost on me that I continually find myself in situations of my own making that choose the slow, intentional way of doing things!

Every one of our bags is handmade by artisans who pour care & precision into every stitch. It’s not the fastest way of doing things, but it’s the better way.

A way that values the process just as much as the final product.

Because whether it’s Paige learning to buckle her seatbelt or a bag crafted to last a lifetime,

patience gives space for something truly meaningful to emerge

Thanks for supporting this slow, intentional way of creating.

It means so much to me—and to the artisans who make it possible.

Cheers to finding spaces in your day where you lean into enjoying the process!

P.S. I truly can’t believe that I get to bring a group of y’all with me to watch this process unfold in real time.

I’ve thoughtfully thought through everything: from transportation from the airport to our beautiful hotel when you land down to covering all meals so you can just focus on being present.

The people who have committed to joining us are such high caliber women - you’d fit right in (wink!).

Our last slots are filling up so if you’re even slightly interested in learning more, book a call with me or reply to this email that you’re interested & I’ll send you over the working itinerary.

This is truly going to be the trip of a lifetime!
