Not alone.

I’m not a risk taker. 

Not really in my personal life & definitely not in how I run Purse & Clutch. 

Slow & steady for me. 

So when the idea began to take shape to overhaul our collection from our original artisan partners in Ethiopia, I was slightly terrified. Lots of important decisions, lots of upfront capital, lots of trusting the other women I’ll be partnering with to pull this off. 

But then I realized why taking a calculated risk felt different this time. 

It was because I wasn’t doing it alone. 

I’m doing this with the most incredible community walking alongside me - YOU. 

I get the most encouraging & kind replies to this weekly newsletter reminding me that you’re in this with me. 

We just did a Referral Promotion with our Insider’s Group on Facebook & a new Insider invited over 100 friends to the group (and earned a $90 Gift Card!) Our group grew from 250 to almost 300 Insiders this month. 

One of our Insiders even used her Gift Card to purchase a bag that she then gifted to a local boutique owner to encourage her to start to wholesale our line. 

I asked for design input on this new collection & y’all showed up with thoughtful, specific & such helpful ideas. 

When I opened up our upcoming trip to Ethiopia, so many of y’all have jumped on the opportunity to travel with me - and one of the most humbling part of the Interest Calls has been when many of the conversations turned to questions around how the funds from this trip would exponentially impact our ability to expand our mission to create & sustain long-term, fair wage employment. 

So this is my love letter to you. 

I love you for your replies, your comments, your engagement, your passion & your feedback.

I love you for your steadiness, your thoughtful notes & your buy in. 

I love you for your heart to rally together to make a difference in supporting employment for someone you’ve never met.

I love you for seeing the work I’m doing as impactful & joining me in it - day after day.
