New year. New studio. Same Mission.

From the day I launched Purse & Clutch back in 2011, the whole reason for even starting a business was to support long-term fair wage employment for women & men with limited opportunities.

Starting 2025 feels good.

Feels like I’m fully aligned with a laser focus.

For the past few years, I’ve been trying to figure out how to scale Purse & Clutch so that we can hire more artisans in Ethiopia, Mexico & India.

Scaling an international artisanal business is not for the faint of heart, y’all.

I tried so many things that I saw other businesses doing successfully, but just couldn’t gain the traction that I wanted to have the impact that I’ve dreamed of.

Then I got in an amazing community of other women entrepreneurs & have started to really lean into what makes me, well me! How I was created to thrive & how I like to work.

After about 18 months of laying the ground work, I’m seeing how my propensity to find partnerships & bring people alongside of me in the work I’m doing really start to take root.

And truly that’s what this Ethiopia trip I’ve been talking about for the last month is all about.

The funds from this trip will be put to bumping us to the next level - investing in a larger & more cohesive handbag line so that we have the infrastructure to partner with larger boutiques who I already have lined up & are ready to place larger orders so we can consistently employ more artisans.

I would absolutely love to have you join me on this adventure in September - to be part of our expanding mission to support more & more fair wage jobs.
