A fundraiser that's actually fun!

A fundraiser that's actually fun!

I recently did photoshoot with one of our current non-profit partners, PEAS (Partners for Education, Agriculture & Sustainability), and it was truly so much fun - especially because my oldest daughter, Grey, got to be part of it, too.

PEAS works at a local elementary school here in Austin to cultivate joyful connections with the natural world through outdoor learning & edible education - so we wanted to work with a model in elementary school.

I happen to have a first grader at home & was excited for her to join!

She came ready to work.

Creative fundraisers for non profit orgs

This is my favorite photo that I captured of her & then one of the members of the board of PEAS snapped this photo of me right afterwards.

new ideas for fundraising for non profits

The joy on my face says it all!

These fundraisers are such a win-win-win: a purposeful product, a meaningful fundraiser & a direct investment in ethical fashion.

Here’s how it works:

  1. A nonprofit collaborates with us to decide on where to put their logo or meaningful phrase on five of our best selling styles of leather bags from  Ethiopia.
  2. Their community preorders, ensuring ethical production with no excess inventory.
  3. We handle the making, fulfillment, & logistics—all while providing fair wages to our artisan partners.
  4. The nonprofit earns a portion of every sale to support their mission.

My background is in non-profit work, so I've thoughtfully thought through everything making it super easy for the organization to be able to execute without taking their needed resources, like time or money.

We’ve got six amazing non-profit partners this Spring & we’re already getting organizations asking about being on the waitlist for the Fall!

If you’re connected with a non-profit looking for a new way to fundraise, comment below with their info  & I’ll reach out to get them in our next round in the Fall.

Cheers to win-win-win partnerships!

P.S. I wasn’t able to help with the Young Life Capernaum shoot, but you’ve GOT to check out how adorable their photos turned out!
